Rain drops dance in puddles
The streetlamps shining down
And I’m walking through these city streets
Remembering London Town
And the light I see reflected
On these streets I know so well
Remind me of those city streets
And stories only city streets can tell
And I miss those distant night walks
And I miss each story told
And I miss those rainy city streets
And all the stories they still hold
London Town my city
London Town my home
She will always be my city
However far I roam
And now raindrops dance in puddles
The streetlamps shining down
And I’m just walking through these city streets
And walking back the memories
Walking back to London Town
And the light I see reflected
On the streets I know so well
Still remind me of those rainy nights
And stories only city streets can tell
And I miss those distant night walks
And I miss each story told
And I miss those rainy Sundays
And the stories that they hold
London Town my city
London Town my home
She will always be my city
However far I roam
Raindrops dance in puddles
Streetlamps shining down
And I’m walking back to city streets
The streets of London Town
London Town my city
She’s my heart, she is my home
London Town I miss you
However far I roam……………..

I wrote this while walking in the rain yesterday.
I have always loved walking in the rain and tend to feel more creative and inspired on rainy days. Rain and rainy days being so prevalent when I was growing up.
I wonder if it’s like that for most people. It would be interesting to know if people function best and feel most in ‘tune’ with life and themselves if they live where they were born or in places which have a similar climate? Having lived in a variety of countries I have found that, the air, quality of light and climate are really important to me and how I feel and function. They matter so much more to me and my general well-being, than food, language and other cultural differences. I was interested to hear Gad Saad say to Dean Caine that, he would love to live in Malibu (where Dean lives) and one of things Gad said that he loves about it is that the climate is similar to that of Lebanon . Maybe we all need to feel that connection? Anyway, I hope that you like these lyrics. Please let me know if any musicians out there want to put them to music. xxxxxxxx
