Can we get somebody on to talk about how human biology is affected by various drugs, prescription and street/recreational drugs, treatments, (including fertility treatments, the pill, and other hormonal treatments, drugs given with birthing procedures eg Cesarean sections etc and the whole business of freezing eggs and sperm and surrogacy). Which chemicals/drugs are involved in all of this? What effects does testosterone treatments have on young girls and their physical and mental health? Are body building drugs and supplements having similarly disrupting effects?
There has been much talk recently about autism and how it is increasing. Is this true and if so why? Are there any people doing research into any connections between those feeling 'disconnected' confused in various ways and drugs they have been exposed to during foetal development or afterwards and how they were conceived? Is it possible that the bonding hormones oxytocin and vasopressin are being disrupted and that this is having long term effects?
Also, is it possible that the cold temperatures needed for 'freezing' eggs and sperm and the chemical soups used are affecting endocrine expression? Also, if eggs and sperm are kept for long periods, or even just a few months before they are used is there a mismatch, out of synch/timing which affects metabolism and neural function? How about feeding too. Has an increase in bottle feeding led to more disconnect? If there are more kids who say they are autistic lets have some research as to why and try to address the causes. Are young kids and parents also being given too many anti-depressants and not being allowed to 'feel', with emotions being flattened? Is this all being exacerbated by botox and filters on all screens and in new movies etc, which flatten and erase facial expressions, making viewers feel alienated and anxious? (the 'uncanny valley' seems to have become normalised but it doesn't make it good for us) If we can't make the expression, due to paralysed/botoxed faces, we can't feel the emotion or express it. Does this perhaps help to explain the lack of empathy and compassion we are witnessing and the rise in narcissism and if the facts are real, 'autism'? Not much is talked about how various drugs and treatments affect people when combined. Are we changing the 'climate' within with chemicals and drugs and causing a crisis of mental
health which is further exacerbated with on-line addiction? Thanks so much for speaking to Dr John Campbell. I agree with his approach of addressing causes and working to help people to be healthy.
Thanks so much. xxx
